Zone Conference - August 2017 - Hamilton, Ontario |
This week has been a busy week for us. We have been working
really hard on helping the Ward with retention and on updating records. This
gives us a really good opportunity to open our mouths to people in the Ward. This week we were able to look at our
referral manager and found that we had five non-contacted referrals or they were
contacted and the system was just not updated. We have been working on getting
the referral manager updated so that we can use the manager effectively. From
all this work, we were able to find a new investigator this week. We went to a
name from the referral manager named Cory. As we called him on the intercom, he
answered and in talking to him, he had expressed interest in meeting with us. I
knew all the hard work would pay off in some way. I am also seeing the
importance of records keeping because when the records are kept up to date,
then people are able to pick up where you left off but if they are not, then
someone has to update them. We have made a lot of progress with the referral
manager and helping the Ward. We also were able to give a blessing to a member
of the Ward this week. When we left, he seemed not fully healed but feeling at
peace. It is a big blessing to serve a mission.

I am doing good. I have been a counselor for a member in the
ward who has been dealing with some anxiety. She has been having problems and
when she does, she calls me and by the time we are done talking she is calm and
ready to face the challenges. She asked yesterday while we were talking “could
you be a little more serious” and all I could reply was “no, if I was serious
then something would be wrong!” HAHA!

I have been running the area and getting things set and
doing all the paperwork. It has been a long busy week.
I have found that it is important that the members do more in missionary
work. The Missionaries need your help. The other half of missionary work is of the records keeping and has been with the Ward list and we
have found about 35 people have moved from the current address and some don't
have numbers to contact them. When people don't do home teaching and visiting
teaching, then people fall through the cracks! I challenge everyone to do your
Home Teaching and Visit Teaching, It really helps!
Remember I Love You & Pray for you Every Night & Day!
